Studying for my linux and couldn't get my head around user permissions - spend ages with so many videos (am not the best at studying) and this video in 20 mins made it stick for me! plus no other video was showing the sticky part of permissions and i couldnt understand how users could have access to other peoples files created in the folders when the user created a file and now i know :)

Ok, this installs the software onto the local machine. How would I just install 7zip onto the server and allow users on the domain to access the server to run it? My network has a powerful server and 5 mini PCs. What I really need to be able to do is any time I sign into any machine, I need that individual users desktop and programs and files to all be available, Not install the locally but accessed from the server. Let's say I have a video editor. When he signs in to a mini p c, I want him to run davinci resolve from the server and stream it over to the mini p c. If the accountant sits at the same computer and signs in, her desktop will have accounting software......Is what i'm asking for possible without simply remoting into a virtual machine?

i like how this one says it's easy and takes 15-20 minutes. meanwhile i'm writing functions and loops to try to get it working (the ":" was stopping my progress). tried telling it if the minutes are above 60, it should subtract 60 and add 1 to hour. i know that's not what they wanted so i started looking for a solution. even after watching this, it was a little confusing until i did it on paper. what threw me off was %. i forgot that was the remainder and not the result. seeing it on paper, everything clicked. thank you.

I'm trying to do these now with your videos if i don't understand, but I hear what you say, then hypothesize what it will be and was not expecting that part. This is an amazing hypothesis by this guy though.
